No. 22 Louisville women’s basketball’s increased urgency passing the ball yielded positive results.
The Cardinals had 25 assists on 39 made shots — 16 of which were 3-pointers — in the 107-70 win over Morehead State on Thursday. They’ll look to keep it going when they travel to play South Florida in the inaugural WBCA Showcase at 1 p.m. today.
The Bulls enter with back-to-back victories over UTRGV and Jacksonville.
Louisville and South Florida are two of four women’s basketball teams that were chosen to take part in the event, organized by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association. All games will be played at the State Farm Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida.
The Cardinals and Bulls haven’t played since 2017. U of L has a 29-4 series lead and has won the last six meetings.
