East Rochester/Gananda will play Salamanca in the regional round of the New York State football playoffs.
The Salamanca Warriors repeated as Section VI champions, and can figure something out, if their offense gets stuck. Xavier Peters (16 rushing touchdowns) is a 1,000-yard rusher and quarterback Maddox Isaac (15 touchdowns) is close enough (942). Isaac is the player who makes everything happen. He has 21 touchdowns among 1,291 passing yards.
The Bombers offense can stress a defense before the snap with the number of receivers and backs who have to be accounted for, then after the snap with an ability to shed tacklers, like Noah Mather and Cadearell Sneed did last week.
