Vote for Landmark Fine Homes boys high school athlete of the week for Nov. 10-16

The Oklahoman’s fall sport boys athletes of the week poll for Nov. 10-16 presented by Landmark Fine Homes is now live at oklahoman.com.

Voting is open until noon Saturday.

This week will only include football players. Here are the nominees.

Kyran Axtell, Sr., Putnam North: The defensive back and receiver returned a kickoff 71 yards for a touchdown and had nine tackles, including two for loss, four pass breakups and one interception as Putnam North beat Southmoore 21-0. Axtell also had a 70-yard punt.

Jayden Bolton, Jr., Cashion: A running back, he had 12 carries for 201 yards and five touchdowns as Cashion defeated Walters 42-14.

Kolten Carlock, Sr., Guthrie: He ran for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries and completed three passes for 34 yards while playing quarterback, running back, receiver and defensive back in Guthrie’s 43-21 victory over Lawton MacArthur.

Owen Eshelman, Sr., Norman North: The quarterback and South Dakota State commit completed 10 of 19 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 192 yards and two scores on 21 carries in Norman North’s 30-19 win over Moore.

Jayden Fuston, Sr., Piedmont: The running back had another great game as Piedmont beat Ponca City 48-7, rushing for 142 yards and two scores on 19 attempts.

Caleb Gideon, Sr., Christian Heritage: The running back had 15 carries for 99 yards and two touchdowns in Christian Heritage’s 32-0 win over Hinton.

Jon Grimmett, Sr., Pauls Valley: The tight end and UNLV commit caught a game-winning five-yard touchdown pass in overtime as Pauls Valley beat Perkins-Tryon 20-17. Grimmett, who also plays outside linebacker, had two receiving scores and recorded 13 tackles, including three for loss.

Joshua Lombard, Jr., Putnam City: The quarterback entered after halftime and ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries, leading Putnam City to a 26-14 victory over Bartlesville.

Nate Steiner, Sr., McGuinness: The receiver had seven catches for 118 yards and two scores in the first half of McGuinness’ 42-7 win over Lawton.
