Welcome to the ninth MyCentralJersey.com’s Big Central Conference Readers’ Choice Football Player of the Week poll of the 2024 season.

Voting closes Thursday at noon.

Please note that the votes don’t always show up immediately. There are lags for the votes to register and a winner isn’t declared until hours after the poll closes.

Cristiano Ambrosio, Cranford

The senior kicker outscored Hillside by himself in a 16-6 win. Ambrosio booted three field goals and an extra point, connecting from 32 yards twice and once from 25 as the Cougars won their fourth straight.

Derek Anderson, Woodbridge

The senior quarterback stepped up again as the Barrons topped St. Joseph 36-35 for a dramatic win. He finished 13-for-21 passing for 246 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 106 yards on seven carries, including a 48-yard scoring scamper. Anderson also threw for a 2-point conversion and rushed for the winning two points in the fourth quarter.

Jett Genovese, Phillipsburg

The senior quarterback continued his terrific career by going 11-for-16 passing for 322 yards and a touchdown in the Stateliners’ 49-21 win over Bridgewater-Raritan. He broke Phillipsburg’s all-time school record for passing touchdown with the effort.

Felix Munoz, East Brunswick

The senior helped the Bears to a 24-14 win over South Brunswick. Munoz hauled in nine passes for 78 yards and chipped in four tackles, including a sack in the victory.

AJ Perales, South Plainfield

Talk about a highlight, the senior defensive lineman stripped the ball from the J.F. Kennedy quarterback and bolted 99 yards for the winning score with 3:53 left in the 21-14 victory. Perales also had 13 tackles and two sacks as the Tigers earned a share of the Big Central United Silver Division title.

Brandon Puryear, Roselle

The senior ran for 82 yards and two touchdowns, while adding a passing TD as Roselle topped J.P. Stevens 28-8.

Ryan Seamon, Hillsborough

The senior quarterback had a 9-for-16 passing day for 210 yards and three touchdowns in the Raiders’ 48-21 win over Hunterdon Central. He added a rushing touchdown as Hillsborough won its fourth straight.

AJ Whitehead, New Providence

The junior rushed for 135 yards on 18 carries and scored two touchdowns as the Pioneers scored a big 28-21 win over Delaware Valley.
