Week 13 of the college football season certainly created chaos nationwide, with numerous upsets littering the Saturday slate.
In terms of Iowa, the Hawkeyes utilized an unusually long 15-day bye week to bounce back from a tough loss against UCLA with a dominant 29-13 victory over the Maryland Terrapins from College Park, M.D., to improve to 7-4 and 5-3 within the Big Ten.
Iowa’s thorough victory over Maryland also earned them one vote in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll.
Within the Big Ten, No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated then-No. 5 Indiana, 38-15, for the Hoosiers’ first loss of the season.
Fourth-ranked Penn State survived an upset by barely scraping past Minnesota in a 26-25 victory. Likewise, No. 25 Illinois squeaked by Rutgers, 38-31, on a fourth down, 40-yard touchdown with four seconds left.
Across the nation, ranked teams such as Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, BYU and Colorado were upset.
With those results causing movement throughout the nation, here’s the full US LBM Coaches Poll entering Week 14.
