After a 71-54 thumping of Southern University on Wednesday, Texas A&M men’s basketball plays the undefeated Oregon Ducks in Las Vegas for the Players Era Festival tournament.
Wade Taylor IV and Zhuric Phelps led the way for the Aggies with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Solomon Washington had five points but racked up 11 rebounds for A&M’s 55 on the night.
Southern had just 31 rebounds.

The Aggies (4-1) are on a winning streak since opening their season with a 64-61 loss to Ohio State. Before conference play for A&M, playing Oregon in Las Vegas begins a difficult slate of games.
So far in their undefeated season, Oregon has dominated teams by beating them by an average of 19 points. However, when they played in-state rival Oregon State on Nov. 21, the Ducks won just by three.
Senior Nate Bittle led the way with a 23-point, 14-rebound double-double. He led the team with blocks that night with three.
Jackson Shelstad and Jadrian Tracey combined for 25 points.
