The NASCAR season may have wrapped up, but Sydney Sweeney is keeping the excitement alive.
The 27-year-old Euphoria star took a detour from the Hollywood spotlight to experience the fast-paced world of NASCAR firsthand, joining 2023 Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney for an unforgettable day at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Sydney Sweeney’s high-speed adventure
Dressed in a blue racing suit, Sweeney got behind the wheel of a NASCAR race car, an experience she documented on social media.
“This is awesome!” she captioned her post, which included snapshots of her smiling with her helmet and celebrating after completing laps on the track.
“Thank you @ryanblaney10 for showing me what I’ve been missing out on!”
Sweeney’s Instagram slideshow captured her excitement, from driving solo on the track to posing triumphantly alongside Blaney.
The experience was part of the NASCAR Racing Experience, which lets fans take control of a real race car under the guidance of a professional spotter.
While Sweeney’s racing debut was a thrill for fans, it’s not entirely surprising for those familiar with her automotive background.
Sweeney wanted to be a race car driver
A self-proclaimed car enthusiast, Sweeney has refurbished multiple vintage cars and launched a TikTok account, Syd’s Garage, during the pandemic to share her passion.
Her 1969 Ford Bronco restoration even inspired her to encourage women to embrace their interest in cars.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of vintage vehicles,”Sweeney shared in a previous interview.
“My babysitters used to be race car drivers, and I thought I was going to be one when I grew up.”
From driving stick shift as a teenager to conquering off-road challenges in Utah, Sweeney’s skills have often impressed her peers.
She credits her upbringing for her confidence behind the wheel, saying, “My mom didn’t let me drive an automatic until I actually got my license. She taught me how to change a tire and figure things out for myself.”
While her NASCAR outing was a one-day adventure, Sweeney’s joy on the track suggests she may return to the fast lane again.
