South Jersey Mean 15 football rankings following Week 6

Week 6 in South Jersey football certainly didn’t disappoint.

As we get ready for Week 7, here are the latest rankings:

South Jersey Mean 15 rankings

  1. Winslow (7-0, last week’s ranking: 1). The Eagles continue to fire on all cylinders as they put together another awesome display in a 58-0 win over Eastside on Saturday. Sophomore quarterback Jalen Parker threw for four touchdowns, raising his season total to 21. Winslow’s defense produced two scores and its third shutout of the season. Next: Friday at Mainland.

  2. Millville (5-1, 2). The Thunderbolts had a bye week following a 23-7 victory over Delsea on Oct. 4. Millville’s defense has held opponents to one score or fewer in each of its five victories. The unit has racked up 18 sacks, including a team-high five by Darian Blachewicz. Next: Friday at Cherokee (4-3).

  3. Holy Spirit (6-1, 3). The Spartans extended their winning streak to six with a 35-0 win at Delsea on Friday. Ty Costabile threw for three touchdowns, including a pair to Brady Kolbe. The junior quarterback has nine touchdown passes on the season with five in the last two weeks. The Spartans defense delivered its third shutout of the season. Next: Friday at Ocean City (5-2).

  4. St. Augustine (5-2, 4). The Hermits’ defense stood strong against during a 28-0 victory over Lenape on Friday. St. Augustine held Lenape to just 42 yards, including just five on the ground, and produced a touchdown on Akeem Jones’ 25-yard scoop and score. The defense has yielded just one rushing touchdown in seven games. Next: Saturday at Rancocas Valley (5-2).

  5. Mainland (5-2, 5). The Mustangs recorded their second straight win and third in the last four weeks – all by shutout – with a 42-0 rout at Egg Harbor Township. Lucas DeBiaso rushed for three touchdowns and John Franchini threw for a pair of scores to Jake Blum. Next: Friday vs. Winslow (7-0).

  6. Camden (5-2, 5). The Panthers scored two touchdowns in the final five minutes of regulation to earn an 18-7 win over Timber Creek on Friday. Christian Braxton rushed for 187 yards, including a 76-yard touchdown on the game’s second play from scrimmage. Next: Friday at Lenape (1-6).

  7. Glassboro (6-0, 8). The Bulldogs erased a 10-point deficit and rolled to a 40-10 win at Cinnaminson on Friday. Quarterback Kristopher Foster threw for three scores and Kenny Smith rushed for a pair of touchdowns. Smith also eclipsed the 4,000-yard mark for his career becoming the 47th player in South Jersey history to achieve the feat. Glassboro’s defense surrendered its first points in 16 quarters. Next: Friday at Schalick (5-2).

  8. Rancocas Valley (5-2, 12). The Red Devils delivered a statement victory when they went on the road and earned a 27-0 victory at Washington Township. Sayvien Adams threw for three touchdowns to Brody Deiter and rushed for a fourth score. RV’s defense forced three takeaways en route to its first shutout of the season. Next: Saturday vs. St. Augustine (5-2).

  9. Atlantic City (5-2, 10). The Vikings extended their winning streak to five with a 35-28 victory over visiting Eastern. Quarterback Khajuan Roseborough threw for a school-record 393 yards and four touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Hammonton (0-7).

  10. Washington Township (5-2, 7). The Minutemen failed to score a point for the first time since 2019 (a span of 45 games) during a 27-0 home loss to Rancocas Valley. Township’s offense posted just over 200 yards but couldn’t dent the scoreboard. The Minutemen will close out the regular season with two straight road games. Next: Friday at Kingsway (6-1).

  11. Paul VI (4-2, 9). The Eagles let two leads slip away during a 27-19 loss at Notre Dame on Friday. The Eagles’ defense surrendered three touchdown passes, including a pair in the fourth quarter. Paul VI rushed for three scores by Nate Klecko, Elijah Wilson and Anthony Jackson. Next: Friday at Seneca (5-2).

  12. Burlington Township (6-1, 11). The Falcons’ unbeaten streak came to a halt with a 13-12 home loss to Hopewell Valley. Baron Davis threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns for Township. Next: Saturday at Northern Burlington (3-3).

  13. Woodstown (6-0, 13). The Wolverines ran their unbeaten streak to six with a 17-8 win at Haddon heights on Saturday. Bryce Belinfanti and Bobby Donahue each rushed for touchdowns and Jake Ware booted a 25-yard field goal for Woodstown. Next: Saturday at Salem (0-7).

  14. Cherokee (4-3, 14). With a 27-0 victory over visiting Williamstown, Cherokee is back over .500 mark for the season. Quarterback Cooper Burti completed 6 of 8 passes for 124 yards and rushed for a pair of touchdowns. Next: Friday vs. Millville (5-1).

  15. Kingsway (6-1, 15). The Dragons extended their winning streak to five in dominating fashion with a 62-0 rout of visiting Clearview. Quarterback David Oravetz threw for four touchdowns and rushed for a fifth score as Kingsway raced to a 35-0 lead in the Battle of Route 322. Oravetz finished 6-of-8 passing for 132 yards. Next: Friday vs. Washington Township (5-2).
