NORMAN — OU wide receivers Deion Burks and Jalil Farooq were upgraded in Thursday’s availability report ahead of Saturday’s game against Missouri.
Burks, who suffered a soft tissue injury against Tennessee on Sept. 21, is listed as probable. Farooq, who broke his foot in the season opener, is also probable.
“It opens up a lot of things,“ OU quarterback Jackson Arnold said of Burks and Farooq’s potential returns.
“On top of that too, it just builds a whole lot of confidence for our offense. We’re going into this week like, ‘Damn, we’ve got two of our studs back at receiver.’ We have had guys play great at receiver, but it’s like, ‘You get two studs back,’ it’s a big confidence boost for the offense.”
SEC teams must file their reports Wednesday before a Saturday conference game and update them daily until 90 minutes before kickoff.
The Sooners and Tigers kick at 6:45 p.m. on SEC Network.
