STILLWATER — December will be a month to remember within the Oklahoma State women’s basketball program, and the schedule reflects its importance.
With coach Jacie Hoyt set to give birth to her first child during the month, the Cowgirls are scheduled to play just four December games, according to the schedule the program released Thursday.
OSU will host all four of those games, with three on the non-conference schedule, plus the Big 12 opener against Iowa State on Dec. 21.
From there, the Cowgirls won’t be back in action until a New Year’s Day visit to Baylor.
OSU goes on the road just once, for two games, during the non-conference slate, with games against Arkansas and Richmond over Thanksgiving weekend at the Daytona Beach Classic in Florida.
Hoyt, entering her third year as head coach, is 35-28 with one NCAA Tournament appearance.
