Ohio State got down double digits in the first quarter. The Buckeyes defense wasn’t going to have a loss in Happy Valley and stymied Penn State.

Ohio State deal the Nittany Lions their first loss, 20-13, in a Big Ten game on Saturday. The Buckeyes trailed 10-0 in the first quarter after Will Howard threw a pick-six.

Penn State got three points the rest of the Big Ten game.

The Buckeyes improve to (7-1, 4-1). The Nittany Lions fall to the same record.

The heat was on Ryan Day and his Buckeyes delivered a big win in a matchup of top five teams.

A key late in the game came when Ohio State stopped Penn State deep in Buckeyes territory.

Ohio State limited Penn State to 270 yards of total offense.

The Buckeyes had two turnovers by Howard. One cost them a Penn State touchdown and the other led to a touchback that gave Penn STate the football when Howard fumbled out of the end zone.
