The New York Liberty travel to Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Aces in Game 3 of the WNBA semifinals on Friday night.
After losing to Las Vegas in last year’s WNBA Finals, New York is now one win away from getting its revenge, as the Liberty took a 2-0 series lead with a 88-84 victory over the Aces on Oct. 1 in this best-of-five series.
In Game 2 on Tuesday night, three-time All-Star Sabrina Ionescu led the Liberty with a team-high 24 points in New York’s 88-84 win at Barclays Center.
In Game 1, it was all Breanna Stewart, as the two-time MVP and former Rookie of the Year scored a game-high 34 points en route to a 87-77 victory in Brooklyn on Sept. 29.
With more eyes on the league than ever this season, Game 2’s telecast became the most watched WNBA semifinal in 22 years across all networks.
The game had 969,000 viewers per Nielsen, peaked at 1.2 million viewers and was up 222 percent compared to last year’s semifinals.
