NASCAR is collecting donations of supplies and money for Hurricane Helene victims. Volunteers are helping to collect goods outside turn 3 at the Talladega Superspeedway this weekend during the races. It’s located right next to the Dega Depot and collection will last through Sunday at 1 p.m.
They are asking for:
- Canned/non-perishable food
- Bottled water
- Diapers
- Wipes
As well as monetary donations. To visit their donation site you can click here.

The supplies collected will soon arrive to Helene victims in need. But NASCAR is not alone — volunteering to load the supplies is the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind.
Terrance Robinson is with the institute. He may be visually impaired but proves there’s no excuse not to step up and help however you can when people are in need: “just to show people despite whatever disability or situation you might be going through there’s still an opportunity to help give back.”
Robinson says the amount of donations from the Alabama and NASCAR community speak to the giving nature in America: “it does show that there are still people that care for the wellbeing of others in the time that we’re in now.”
