NASCAR Fans Tie Rick Hendrick & Co to F1 Team Amid Major Reveal for Chase Elliott’s 2025 Ride

by admin

Chase Elliott’s No. 9 Chevy will have a new look in 2025. UniFirst is all set to sponsor the Hendrick Motorsports car for five races next year, giving the Camaro ZL1 a different look. As part of the partnership, the seven-time Most Popular Driver’s vehicle will feature a green and gray palette and sleek racing stripes, making it look eerily similar to Aston Martin’s Formula 1 vehicle. Naturally, the similarities led to many fans drawing comparisons to the British manufacturer.

Are the paint scheme similarities simply just a coincidence, or is there more to it than what meets the eye? With NASCAR on the hunt for a fourth manufacturer, could Aston Martin join the world of stock car racing? Speculation was rife after Chase Elliott’s Chevy had its livery revealed.

It’s not the first time Chase Elliott and UniFirst have partnered up. During the 2024 Cup Series season, the company sponsored the Hendrick Motorsports driver for five fixtures, starting with Richmond Raceway on March 31st. Just like last time, it’s not only the car that will feature a different paint scheme as the 29-year-old along with his No. 9 team will also sport uniforms that will use UniFirst’s logo and company colors. 2025 will be the 10th year Rick Hendrick’s team will be affiliated with the organization, as UniFirst is the Official Workwear Provider of Hendrick Motorsports and its sister company Hendrick Automotive Group.

Sharing his opinion about the paint scheme, David Katz, UniFirst Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing said, “The new No. 9 UniFirst Chevy paint scheme takes our racing presence to a new level. This bold design aligns perfectly with our brand evolution and captures our energy and momentum. Collaborating with Hendrick Motorsports has been an exciting opportunity to create something that not only represents UniFirst but also resonates with NASCAR fans.”

Chase Elliott’s No. 9 UniFirst Chevy will make its debut at Homestead-Miami on March 23rd followed by an appearance at Darlington Raceway on April 6th. It will also feature at the Michigan International Speedway on June 8th followed by Richmond Raceway on August 16 and make its final appearance at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL on October 5. If that’s not all, UniFirst will also be an associate sponsor for the team throughout the 2025 Cup Series campaign.

Elliott will hope to improve on his performances after a disappointing 2024 season. The Hendrick Motorsports driver secured just one win at Texas Motor Speedway but somehow clawed his way into the Round of Eight. The 29-year-old finished the season in seventh place, securing 11 top-five finishes in 36 races. Will the UniFirst Chevy give him a stroke of better luck during the 2025 campaign? Time will tell. However, NASCAR fans couldn’t help but liken his No. 9 Chevy to Aston Martin’s F1 look after seeing the unique paint scheme.

Fans draw comparisons between Elliott’s Chevy and Aston Martin

As expected, it didn’t take long for NASCAR fans to take to social media and make comparisons between the Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 9 UniFirst Chevy and Aston Martin’s Formula 1 vehicles. Looking at the green paint scheme combined with yellow racing stripes and white font prompted one fan to write, “Big AMR Energy”. With the sanctioning body continuing its search to add a fourth manufacturer alongside Chevrolet, Toyota, and Ford, a motorsports enthusiast reached a premature conclusion after seeing the livery and made a joke by saying, “Welcome To Nascar Aston Martin F1.

A Reddit user went on to speculate that Chase Elliott may feature in a Formula 1 practice session, now that his No. 9 Chevy features an almost identical livery to the ones being sported by Aston Martin Racing. The fan wrote, “Very Aston Martin like…maybe Chase gets a shot at a FP1 sesh.” Another NASCAR fan paid compliments to the paint scheme while playing along with the Hendrick Motorsports and Aston Martin links. The fan said, “The less mostly white cars we have on track, the better. I’d say it’s an improvement. Also, Hendrick Motorsports to Aston Martin Racing Confirmed.”

The jokes didn’t stop there. Speculating that this could be the start of two iconic racing brands merging, a fan wrote, “Hendrick Aston Martin Aramco Racing presented by cognizant and UniFirst.” With both the racing teams having less-than-ideal seasons in the Cup Series and Formula 1, Rick Hendrick and Lawrence Stroll will know that there is plenty of room for improvement going into the 2025 campaign. Will they see a notable performance improvement next year? Let us know in the comments!
