NASCAR up-and-coming driver Connor Zilisch has been recently romantically linked to an LSU swimmer.
The 18-year-old Zilisch will look to join Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s fold for the Xfinity Series.
Zilisch has opened the eyes of many after his debut in the Nascar Truck Series, finishing fourth at the Circuit of The Americas.
He caught the attention of JR Motorsports and even Denny Hamlin, who believes the youngster will be a championship contender after eventually moving to the Cup series.
But this Thanksgiving, Zilisch captivated fans on social media after spending time with LSU freshman swimmer Lauren Bernardo.
Pictures of the pair were posted on Instagram by Bernardo, who is from Charlotte, North Carolina like Zilisch.
The series of photos sparked rumors that they might be dating as Bernardo wrote the caption, “Thankful for my peeps (turkey emoji) (heart emoji.”
And the first pic displayed Zilisch and Bernando in each other’s arms while sitting.
They were also spotted alongside other family members of Bernardo.
Bernardo’s father Ken, mother Tracey, and sister Ally were also seen in a group photo.
And Ken also posted numerous Thanksgiving snaps on Instagram.
One of the pics revealed Zilisch, and Ken wasn’t done.
He also uploaded a picture of the Bernardo family and included a smiling Zilisch next to an also smiling Lauren in a picture.
Similar to Zilisch, Bernardo has had success in sports.
She’s proficient in the backstroke and individual medley categories and gave her verbal commitment to LSU in January last year.
Bernardo will pursue a degree in construction management and has moved to the southwest to join the Tigers.
Currently, she’s training with SwimMAC Carolina.
Bernardo also has a black belt in martial arts.
She has 2,700-plus followers on Instagram.
The rumored relationship between Zilisch and Bernardo will be worth monitoring.
Neither party has opened up about the dating rumors.
In the meantime, Zilisch will hope to continue to showcase his talents at the pro level.
And Hamlin has high hopes for Zilisch.
“So will he go win 12 races next year in Xfinity? No, I don’t think so. But I mean, could he win four or five? Yeah, absolutely. I think that’s a very feasible goal considering the car he’s in and what he’s going to be capable of,” Hamlin said last month on the Actions Detrimental podcast.
