Michigan State football will once again be without a number of key defensive players this week.
The Spartans will once again be without key defensive starters safety Malik Spencer and linebacker Wayne Matthews against Rutgers on Saturday. The official injury report was released a few hours before kickoff.

Michigan State comes into this game against Rutgers in need of a victory to reach bowl eligibility. The Spartans are 5-6 overall and 3-5 in Big Ten play.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be televised on Fox Sports 1.
