‘Malcom in the Middle’ star Frankie Muniz announces NASCAR career

Frankie Muniz isn’t looking to be stuck in the middle anymore. He wants to be at the front of the pack.

Thirty-eight-year-old Muniz, known for playing Malcom in the Fox sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle,” announced Tuesday that he is pursuing a full-time NASCAR career. Muniz will join Reaume Brothers Racing as the driver of the No. 33 F-150 in the 2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

Making the transitioning from acting to racing wasn’t difficult for Muniz.

“If I’m going to race full time against drivers who, this is their lives, I’ve got to dedicate myself the same way that they are. I can’t be part-time,” Muniz told Fox News “Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade. “You can’t kind of act on the side and do this. If you want to be really, really good at anything, you’ve got to dedicate yourself to it, and that’s what I’m doing.”
