JR Motorsports Confirms 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series Driver Signing

by admin

JR Motorsports has officially announced Carson Kvapil as their full-time driver for the Xfinity Series in the 2025 season.

This announcement is a huge step for the promising young driver and the team. Kvapil, who will be taking the wheel of the No. 1 Camaro, will boast sponsorship from Bass Pro Shops.

JR Motorsports confirmed the news to social media, posting:

“The call he’s been waiting for. JR Motorsports is proud to promote @Carson_Kvapil to FULL TIME @NASCAR_Xfinity Series racing in 2025 with backing from @BassProShops.”

At just 21 years old, Carson Kvapil carries a rich lineage as the son of former NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil. His rise through the ranks has been marked by notable successes on the grassroots racing scene. Kvapil clinched the Carolina Pro Late Model Series Championship in 2020 and followed it up with a championship in the CARS Super Late Model Tour in 2021. He later celebrated back-to-back championships in JR Motorsports’ Late Model Stock during the CARS Tour events.

Kvapil made his Xfinity Series debut at Martinsville Speedway in April, securing a commendable fourth-place finish. Over the season, Kvapil has completed eight races in the Xfinity Series, achieving three top-five finishes, four top-10 finishes, and a notable runner-up finish at Dover International Speedway.

Speaking about his new contract, Kvapil commented, as quoted by NASCAR.com:

“I’m just super fortunate to be able to run this JR Motorsports car the last three years. From where I was before I got this ride to where I am now, I just never thought I would be in this position. I just can’t thank Kelley, Dale Jr. and L.W. and all the people at JR Motorsports enough.

“Without them giving me the opportunity at Florence [in 2021], none of this would be happening.”

The driver also posted to social media:

“I’ve waited a long time for this moment! Incredibly thankful to Johnny Morris, @BassProShops, @DaleJr, @EarnhardtKelley and @lwmiller88 for believing in me enough to go full time in 2025. And also everyone else who has helped me achieve this opportunity.”

The decision to bring Kvapil on board as a full-time driver speaks volumes about his potential and the faith JR Motorsports has in his abilities. This announcement also comes amidst other significant changes in the team’s roster, including the signing of another rising star, Connor Zilisch, for the 2025 season.
