Indiana football has sold out its remaining 2024 home games

BLOOMINGTON — The Indiana football team has sold out the limited tickets it had available for games against Washington on Saturday and Michigan on Nov. 9.

It comes on the heels of the No. 13 Hoosiers (7-0; 4-0) selling out Memorial Stadium for their 56-7 win over Nebraska — the program’s first sell out since 2021 — and their season-finale against Purdue. The announced crowd of 53,082 fans against the Cornhuskers was the fourth-highest attended game in program history.

“I noticed ’em,” Indiana coach Curt Cignetti said, after the game. “…There’s a lot of excitement a lot of places, which is awesome. I could tell they were really loud”

Fans hold signs during the Fox Big Noon Kickoff show outside of Memorial Stadium before the start of the Indiana versus Nebraska football game on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024.

The four sell outs in a single season are a program record and match the combined total of sell outs from 2016-2023.

Indiana will also host ESPN’s College GameDay this weekend. While the show visited IU’s campus ahead of the 2017 season-opener against Ohio State, that game took place on a Thursday and didn’t feature their popular reoccurring picks segment.

Popular GameDay co-host Pat McAfee told Cignetti he was cheering for Indiana to win against Nebraska since it would help him convince the show’s producers to bring the show to Bloomington.

The Hoosiers hosted FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff on Saturday before the game against Nebraska.
