The Kim Caldwell era will tip off on Thursday for Tennessee’s women’s basketball program. Caldwell is the fourth Tennessee women’s basketball head coach during the NCAA era, joining Pat Summitt, Holly Warlick and Kellie Harper.
The Lady Vols will host Carson-Newman in an exhibition game at Food City Center on Thursday.
Tennessee and Carson-Newman will face each other for a third consecutive season and for the 19th time during an exhibition contest. Tennessee is 18-0 against the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Vols are also 14-2 in regular-season games against Carson-Newman all time. Carson-Newman’s last regular-season win against the Lady Vols was in 1925.
Tennessee will open its 2024-25 regular-season on Nov. 5 versus Samford at Food City Center (6:30 p.m. EST, SEC Network+).
