Vanderbilt football beat a top-five team for the first time ever on Saturday with its 40-35 win over AP No. 1 Alabama.
In the postgame jubilation, Commodores fans stormed the field and tore down the south end zone goalpost, marching it all the way to the river. Quarterback Diego Pavia played a large part in the upset, throwing for 252 yards and running for 67.
Pavia and Vanderbilt are featured on The Tennessean’s sports cover from Monday. Now, fans can celebrate Vandy’s win with a commemorative cover from the Tennessean.
