Analysis

Two new faces on the roster that weren’t there in the Wild Card Series are Senga and Megill. Both omissions made sense as Senga was still working back from injury and Megill started in Game 1 of Monday’s doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves on the final day of the regular season and likely wouldn’t have been available in any situation against the Brewers.

To make room for both pitchers, the Mets moved out RHP Huascar Brazoban and RHP Max Kranick. Neither saw any action out of the bullpen in the three-game series in Milwaukee.

New York continues to deploy just one lefty reliever in Young, however the team could get creative against the Phillies like it did with Peterson closing out Game 3 for his first career save.
