Golden Knights Sign PTO Forward To A One-Year Contract

by admin

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Tanner Pearson a one-year contract after he played throughout training camp on a professional try-out.

Pearson’s one-year contract carries a $775,000 AAV. The 32-year-old played in four of the Golden Knights’ five preseason games and recorded two goals and three points. His size and speed blended nicely with the way the Golden Knights want to play. He’s focused without the puck and is a reliable two-way forward.

Pearson previously spent parts of 11 seasons in the NHL totalling 644 games with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks, and Montreal Canadiens. The Kitchener, Ontario native appeared in 54 games with the Canadiens last year and recorded five goals and 13 points.

The 6’1, left-handed winger was a Stanley Cup champion with the Kings and is a former 2012 first-round pick.

Pearson will provide the team with a reliable defensive game and veteran experience for some of the younger players the Golden Knights are inserting into their lineup.
