ORLANDO, Fla. — Despite a team-high 15 points from freshman guard Trinity Turner, the Georgia women’s basketball team lost to the Penn State Lady Lions, 67-47, Saturday in the final game of the WBCA Showcase.

• The score was tied 25-all at halftime, but Georgia went nearly seven minutes without a basket in the third and trailed 45-34 going into the final period.
• Freshman Turner led Georgia with 15 points, but fouled out at the 3:20 mark of the fourth quarter. Turner has scored in double figures in six of seven games.
• Georgia shot a season-low 30 percent from the floor, knocking in 19 of 64 shots. The Lady Bulldogs also committed 23 turnovers.
• Mariah Murray hit seven 3-pointers and led Penn State with 24 points.
