Detroit Red Wings Recall Marco Kasper

by admin

The Detroit Red Wings have recalled forward Marco Kasper, the team announced Friday.

Kasper, who began the season with the Grand Rapids Griffins, was called up under emergency conditions.

Drafted by the Red Wings in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Kasper has collected a goal and an assist through two games with the Griffins so far this season. In 2023-24, Kasper scored 14 goals and added 21 assists for 35 points in 71 regular season games with Grand Rapids.

Having been one of the Red Wings last cuts from training camp, Kasper was close to cementing a spot for himself with the big club. Although no official injury announcement has been made by Detroit, Kasper will most likely have the opportunity to play against the Predators Saturday.
