CUPHOLDERS! Canucks Confirm Seat Upgrades At Rogers Arena For The 2025-26 Season

Prior to the Vancouver Canucks first preseason game of the 2024-25 season, the organization announced some updates on the renovation at Rogers Arena. The announcement included information on Molson Hockey House and Madrí Excepcional Lounge, some new player facilities and a timeline for the much-anticipated seat upgrades. According to the release, fans will need to wait another season for the seat upgrades as the installation will begin in 2025 and be ready for the start of the 2025-26 season.

Originally announced last season, the new seats will be black and feature a higher backrest to make them comfortable. They will also feature cupholders, which has become a massive talking point among fans in Vancouver. The seats will be designed by Irwin Seating Company, which supplies seats for 23 NHL arenas.

Over its lifetime, the arena has hosted many events, including the 2010 Winter Olympics, the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, and the 2019 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. This year, the arena will also welcome its 50 millionth fan, who will receive two tickets to every event at Rogers Arena for a year.
