The 6’8 defenseman was drafted 12th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2008 and won the Calder Trophy in 2010 as the Rookie of the Year. Myers’ time with the Sabres ended at the 2015 trade deadline when the Winnipeg Jets acquired Myers. He eventually signed with the Canucks in 2019.

Myers played for the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL and became the third defenseman from the junior club to have played 1,000 games. The other two players are Alex Edler and Luke Schenn, both of whom played for the Canucks.
