The Arizona football team entered the season ranked in the Top 25.

The Wildcats finished with a 4-8 record overall and a 2-7 record in the Big 12 after a 49-7 loss to Arizona State in the Territorial Cup rivalry game at Arizona Stadium in Tucson on Saturday.

The loss to ASU, and the way the whole season played out, led media members and fans to wonder if head coach Brent Brennan could be fired after just one season as the Wildcats’ football coach.

Social media sounded off on the idea in the aftermath of Arizona’s disastrous loss to Arizona State, with many calling for Brennan to lose his job.
