Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa was likely one of the most impressive performances of the season so far for the Alabama Crimson Tide, as the program picked up a shutout victory over the Missouri Tigers at home, 34-0.

After a slow start, Alabama settled in during the second quarter, and rode that momentum all the way to a blowout victory over the Tigers. In all, Alabama out-gained Missouri in total yardage a combined 486-239, and forced three Tigers’ turnovers that were all interceptions.

Let’s take a look at the latest Alabama stock report after their Week 9 win over Missouri, which includes three players whose stock is rising, as well as three who are falling:

Stock Up: Justice Haynes, Running Back

Stats vs. Missouri: 8 rushes, 79 yards, 1 TD, 1 reception, 2 yards

It did not take Haynes many touches to make an impact in Alabama’s win over Missouri, as he led the Crimson Tide with 79 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries Saturday. Haynes, who also had a reception for two yards, had one of the game’s most highlight-reel plays as well, rushing for a 35-yard touchdown in the second half.

Stock Down: Alabama third down offense

Stats vs. Missouri: 2-for-9 conversions

Even with Alabama’s offensive success Saturday, the Crimson Tide were still not great offensively on third downs. On third down, Alabama converted only two-of-nine attempts Saturday offensively, while the Crimson Tide’s third down defense was a strength, holding Missouri to 3-of-13 attempts.

Stock Up: Graham Nicholson, Kicker

Stats vs. Missouri: 2/2 FG, 4/4 XP

Nicholson had likely the best game of his Alabama career so far Saturday, going a perfect four-for-four on extra points, as well as making his two field goal attempts. Both of Nicholson’s field goal makes came in the first half from 47 and 39 yards out.

Stock Down: Alabama punt returns

Stats vs. Missouri: 2 returns, 15 yards

Alabama did not necessarily have the greatest showing on punt returns early in the game against Missouri, and returned only two punts for a combined 15 yards in the game, both of which were by Ryan Williams. The Crimson Tide also had some nervous moments on fair catches, the biggest of which was by Jaylen Mbakwe inside the 10-yard line.

Stock Up: Bray Hubbard, Safety

Stats vs. Missouri: 7 tackles, 1 INT

In what was his first start at safety for the Crimson Tide in place of the injured Keon Sabb, Hubbard certainly impressed against Missouri. During the victory, Hubbard ranked second for the Crimson Tide with seven tackles, while also recording an interception on Missouri’s first drive of the second half.

Stock Down: Jaylen Mbakwe, Cornerback

Stats vs. Missouri: 1 tackle

For this last spot, Mbakwe had a nervous fielded punt return Saturday afternoon that could’ve put Missouri in a position to score. The true freshman also had a kick catching interference penalty on special teams, and finished the game with one tackle.
