With the Alabama Crimson Tide and LSU Tigers set to meet Saturday with enormous College Football Playoff implications at stake, ESPN/ABC is sending its No. 1 broadcast crew to Baton Rouge.
As expected, the broadcast team of Chris Fowler (play-by-play) and Kirk Herbstreit (analyst) will have the call of Alabama vs. LSU from the booth at Tiger Stadium. Holly Rowe will serve as sideline reporter. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ABC.
“College GameDay” will also be in Baton Rouge for Saturday’s game, as was previously announced over the weekend.
It’s the second time this season that the duo of Fowler and Herbstreit will call an Alabama game. The two called the Crimson Tide‘s 41-34 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs back on Sept. 28 in Tuscaloosa.
Additionally, Alabama-LSU will be broadcast on select ESPN Radio affiliates across the country and within the ESPN mobile app, the network announced Monday. Mike Couzens, Jordan Reid and Mike Peasley will have the national radio call for the game.
Alabama (6-2) rose three spots to No. 11 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll following its Week 10 bye. Jalen Milroe and the Crimson Tide defeated the Missouri Tigers, 34-0, on Oct. 26.
LSU (6-2) also had a bye in Week 10 and rose three spots to No. 13 in the Coaches Poll. Garrett Nussmeier and the Tigers fell 38-23 to the Texas A&M Aggies in their last game, Oct. 26 in College Station.
