According to a report Tuesday afternoon from On3’s Pete Nakos, Alabama Crimson Tide redshirt freshman defensive back Jahlil Hurley plans to enter transfer portal when it officially opens later this month.
Hurley, who was in his second season at Alabama, had only one tackle for the Crimson Tide so far this season across nine games, which came in the Missouri game. That was also the lone stats that Hurley has accumulated during his Alabama career so far.
A former four-star prospect, Hurley originally came to Alabama as a member of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class out of in-state Florence High School. There, Hurley ranked as the nation’s No. 50 overall player in the cycle according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 5 overall cornerback nationally.
Hurley is now the third Alabama player to announce his intentions to enter the transfer portal so far this season, joining Jehiem Oatis and Keanu Koht.
