Indianapolis is preparing to double dip on pro basketball All-Star Games, and Adam Silver can’t wait.
The NBA commissioner visited with FanDuel Sports Network broadcasters Chris Denari and Quinn Buckner on Monday night as the Indiana Pacers hosted the New Orleans Pelicans.
Silver spent considerable time in Indianapolis earlier this year, when the Pacers hosted the NBA All-Star Game. The WNBA All-Star Game is coming to Indy in July.
He left no doubt about the impetus for coming back.

“Caitlin Clark set the world on fire, not just this community,” Silver said of the Indiana Fever star who won Rookie of the Year and helped propel a huge increase in WNBA interest. “People are seeing how deep this league is. I jokingly said this league is a 28-year overnight sensation.”
Silver also discussed the Pacers’ trip in January to Paris, where they will play the San Antonio Spurs twice. Of course, Frenchman Victor Wembanyama leads the Spurs.
