Michigan football has two chances to one win game and earn bowl eligibility in a tumultuous 2024 season.
The Wolverines (5-5, 3-4 Big Ten) are 10-point favorites in Week 13 of the college football when they take on the Northwestern Wildcats today on senior day at Michigan Stadium. It’s the final home game for the 2021 recruiting class, which has the most wins program history.
Michigan last played two weeks ago, losing 20-15 against unbeaten Indiana, and are coming off a bye week that featured different messaging from a co-captain and head coach Sherrone Moore entering the final two regular-season games. The annual rivalry showdown vs. Ohio State awaits next Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.

Michigan vs. Northwestern prediction, picks
Tony Garcia, Detroit Free Press: It has felt like a long time since Michigan was a heavy favorite in a game, and there’s a reason the Wolverines are picked by two scores here. The best unit on the field is U-M’s defensive line, while the second-best may be U-M’s kicking game. Northwestern, outside of perhaps the scripted portion of the game or a trick play here or there, should struggle to move the ball. Both Kalel Mullings and Donovan Edwards score on senior day, then U-M gets its underclassmen backs into the game in the fourth. That would be an ideal day and way to wrap up a bowl berth. The pick: U-M 27, Northwestern 10.
