Michigan State football has put their hat in the ring for a cornerback that is currently committed to Arizona.
Gianni Edwards was the recipient of the latest offer from the Spartans, given by defensive backs coach Demetrice martin, The cornerback has been committed to Arizona since late June.
A 5-foot-11, 175-pound cornerback, Edwards ranks as a 3-star prospect according to the recruiting sites. He is from North Forney, Texas. He is the son of Mario Edwards Sr. and brother of Mario Edwards Jr., both of whom played in the NFL.
It sounds like Edwards will likely be taking an official visit to MSU in the near future, a development that would be very positive for the Spartans attempting a flip.
Aside from Arizona and Michigan State, Edwards holds power conference offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Houston, Maryland and SMU.
