Georgia women’s basketball continues its season-opening, four-game homestand with Houston coming to town Friday night.
The Lady Bulldogs are hot off the presses after defeating NC Central 96-52 on Monday and looking to keep steamrolling the non-conference schedule. It’s still really early to tell how they’ll fare come SEC play, but the freshman class stepped out Monday night, three of the four being the leading scorers; Mia Woolfolk had 18 points, Trinity Turner had 15 and Summer Davis had 11.
This was the Lady Bulldogs’ largest victory margin since Nov. 16, 2022, when they beat Kennesaw State by 42 points (89-47). They were four points away from having a 100-point game for the first time since App State in 2021 and Woolfolk’s individual 18 points actually marked the most for a freshman in their debut since 2017’s Que Morrison.
