Notre Dame’s women’s basketball highly anticipated 2024-25 season is set to begin with a home exhibition against Davenport on October 30 at 7 p.m. with the regular season home-opener scheduled for November 4 against Mercyhurst at 5 p.m.
The Irish will kick off their ACC slate on December 8 at Syracuse, N.Y. Three non-conference home games will follow in December, including against rival Connecticut on Dec. 12, before Notre Dame hosts Virginia on Dec. 29 for its ACC home opener. Home games against ACC newcomers SMU (Jan. 19), Stanford (Feb. 6) and California (Feb. 9) are also included in Notre Dame’s ACC slate. With the expanded ACC, Notre Dame’s only repeat conference opponent this season will be Louisville (Feb. 2 and March 2).
Of Notre Dame’s 18 ACC games, 14 will be on national TV with six on ESPN or ESPN2. Notre Dame’s non-conference games against Texas and Connecticut will also be on ESPN. All games can be listened to locally on WQLQ (99.9 FM).
Preseason news includes graduate student and four-year starter Maddy Westbeld announcing that she will miss the beginning of the season with a lingering foot issue and junior guard KK Bransford announcement that she will red shirt the season to heal a lower leg injury.
