Texas A&M finished ninth in the conference last year with a 19-13 overall record and a 6-10 conference record, behind Auburn and ahead of Arkansas. They made it to the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament before falling to 79-68 to South Carolina.

The Aggies begin the season Nov. 4 against Texas A&M Corpus Christi. With Texas now in the SEC, Texas A&M will host them in Reed Arena on Feb. 2.

Coach Joni Taylor will lead the team for her third season wearing maroon and white. They return two-time All-SEC selection Aicha Coulibaly, who was just one of four players in the country last year to average at least 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals. Lauren Ware also returns after being top 10 in rebounds and blocks in the SEC last season.
