Five WHLers Named To THN’s Early Season 2025 NHL Draft Rankings

The Hockey News’ Ryan Kennedy has released an early season list of the top 32 2024 NHL Draft rankings list, with five WHLers making the cut. All four WHL divisions are represented on the list, with the B.C. Division holding down two spots. Here is a look at where the WHL prospects landed on Kennedy’s list and how they have started the 2024-25 season.

In June, 34 WHLers were selected as part of the 2024 NHL Draft, including five in the first round. This year’s draft should feature similar success with top-end prospects like Braeden Cootes, Cameron Schmidt, Lynden Lakovic, and Reese Hamilton, who are all available. The 2025 NHL Draft will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
