With the moves, the Ducks training camp roster sits at 34 players.

Forwards Jan Mysak and Yegor Sidorov as well as defenseman Drew Helleson were assigned straight to San Diego while forward Carson Meyer was placed on waivers for the purpose of being assigned.

Drafted in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, Mysak was acquired by the Ducks in exchange for Jacob Perreault back in March. Splitting time between the Gulls and the Laval Rocket last season, Mysak had 14 goals and seven assists for 21 points in 62 games.

A 2023 third-round selection of the Ducks, Sidorov will be suiting up in his first pro season in 2024-25. In 66 regular season games with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades last season, he collected 50 goals and 38 assists for 88 points.

A product of Farmington, Minn., Helleson spent the entire 2023-24 season with the Gulls, scoring four goals and adding 14 assists for 18 points in 59 games. He has suited up in three career NHL games, scoring his first NHL goal in the process.

Drafted in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets, Meyer split time last season between the Jackets and the Cleveland Monsters. With the Blue Jackets, he put up two points in 14 regular season games. In Cleveland, he scored 22 goals and added 15 assists for 37 points in 55 games.

Although the Gulls missed the playoffs last season, they will have a solid rotation of talent this year which will make them a team to watch.
