The Nittany Lions will try to earn their fourth straight 5-0 start Saturday in Beaver Stadium.
And they’ll be a huge favorite to do so against the meek UCLA Bruins (noon, FOX).
Another big-expectation season is ramping up against a new Big Ten opponent from across the country. This will be the most expensive Penn State football home ticket yet in 2024.
The Lions are expected to dominate Saturday, partly because of their growing physicality on offense and defense, partly because of UCLA’s crippling struggles.
The Lions are coming off a ragged but verified pounding of well-regarded Illinois in primetime to solidify their Top 10 ranking. The Bruins? They limped to a third defeat against Oregon by following a repetitive script: gradually wear down after repeated failures to pressure on defense and run the football on offense.
This should be a stress-free, pleasant-weather experience for Penn State fans just before the toughest season stretch begins.
