“College GameDay” has named its guest picker before Saturday’s show in Tuscaloosa. And it will be a familar face for most Alabama football fans.
Before No. 4 Alabama hosts No. 1 Georgia Saturday night, Terry Saban, the wife of former Alabama football coach Nick Saban, was announced as the ESPN pregame show’s guest picker.
“As you know, ‘College GameDay’ is coming to Tuscaloosa this Saturday for the Georgia-Alabama game,” Terry Saban said in a video Friday. “And I’m excited to be the guest picker. So we need all Crimson Tide fans to come to Denny Chimes Saturday morning. I’ve already been working on my picks, and I think I’m going to beat Nick.”
After his retirement from Alabama in January, Nick Saban joined ESPN and the “College GameDay” team in February.
Terry Saban will be “College GameDay’s” sixth guest picker of the season joining WWE wrestler Sheamus, former Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley and country music singer Blake Shelton.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” will air from Denny Chimes starting at 8 a.m. Saturday.
Alabama vs. Georgia will kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
