Michigan State football kickoff vs. Ohio State pushed back to 7:30 p.m.

Michigan State football announced a slightly new kickoff time for the home showdown against No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday.

On Tuesday, Michigan State announced a new kickoff time scheduled for 7:30 p.m., pushing it back from the originally scheduled time of 7 p.m. It will still be exclusively aired on Peacock, NBC’s streaming affiliate.

Michigan State (3-1) is looking to snap an eight-game losing streak to the Buckeyes and first home win against OSU since 1999.

The Spartans have a tough matchup to try to bounce back from the first loss of the season and the Jonathan Smith era after falling on the road to Boston College. Turnovers and the running game are two points of emphasis entering MSU’s first ranked matchup. MSU turned the ball over four times in last week’s loss and has been average running the ball outside of a few big plays along with struggles running against OSU in recent years.

The Buckeyes are undefeated after cruising unimpeded through the nonconference schedule and open their Big Ten schedule against MSU. Ohio State is one of the odds-on favorites to win the Big Ten and the new expanded College Football Playoff.
