The Indiana Fever seek their first WNBA playoff win in quite some time today when they visit the Connecticut Sun.
Indiana (20-20 regular-season record) is the No. 6 seed and the Sun (28-12) No. 3. The Fever were last in the playoffs in 2016, when they lost their only game. Their most recent playoff win came in October 2015, in the WNBA Finals against the Minnesota Lynx. Indiana lost that series 3-2.
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever in scoring in the regular season with 19.2 points per game each. Clark also averaged 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds. Aliyah Boston added 14.0 points and 8.9 rebounds, and NaLyssa Smith 10.4 points and 7.2 rebounds.
No. 3-seed Sun are led by DeWanna Bonner (15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds), Marina Mabrey (14.9 points, 42.4% from 3-point range), Brionna Jones (13.7 point, 5.5 rebounds), DiJonai Carrington (12.7 points) and Alyssa Thomas (10.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 7.9 assists).
The Fever went 1-3 against the Sun in the regular season.
