After the first playoff elimination race last week at Bristol, which saw four of the 16 championship-eligible drivers drop from contention, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Kansas for the next round of postseason racing.
That’s right the green flag of the Hollywood Casino 400 will drop Sunday afternoon at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway, and with it, the three-race, round-of-12 stage that will see just eight drivers move on when it’s all said and done.
Ty Gibbs, Martin Truex Jr., Brad Keselowski and Harrison Burton have already been eliminated.
So, who will win this week and start off the next round of postseason racing with a trip to Victory Lane?

Larson, the driver of the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy, enters Kansas Speedway as the favorite, and for good reason.
He not only leads the field in points and is coming off a win at Bristol last week where he led 462 of the 500 laps at the half-mile track, Larson also won the first race of the season at Kansas. He did that in the closest finish in Cup history, edging Chris Buescher by 0.001 seconds.
For his career at the 1.5-mile speedway, Larson has two wins, eight top-5s and 11 top-10 finishes.
For the 2024 season, Larson leads all drivers with five wins.
Reddick, the driver of the No. 45 23XI Racing Toyota is the defending champion of this race, winning last year in the playoffs in early September.
Reddick was the 2024 regular-season champion and is looking for his first playoff victory of the postseason. He sits third in points.
In 10 career races at Kansas, Reddick has the lone win and four top-10s.
Although he’s not in championship contention, Wallace could play spoiler this week at track where he picked up his second career victory back in 2022.
The driver of the No. 23 23XI Racing Toyota also finished fourth in 2023 and has one other top-10 finish at the 1.5-mile track.
In the last six races at Kansas, a Toyota has won five of them.
